At 7:27, учили shouldn't be "were being taught" instead of "were taught". Since учить is an НСВ, it should be a process instead of a finished action, right?

I have a question: To use изучать does it have to be learning in some kind of course with other people or at university / school or can I use this word to say "I'm learning Russian." in general like when I do this just for myself, for example using Duolingo or Youtube Videos…

It would be good to include the verbs for TEACHING — I always confuse these with those of LEARNING. As to verbs with the root "уч", there seem to be about a hundred of them. It would be useful to expand that section of your video. Much confusion here. Thanks!

My question here. If you ask other people чем ты занимаешся? is it only exclusively to know what they're doing at the moment (I mean, they could be painting, reading, watching tv, etc)??? couldn't it be used to ask what profession/trade you have???
You said that when учиться means "to learn something" you use dative case. But I've seen in searches on google that some people write it as "я хочу учиться русский язык", is this incorrect from a grammatical point of view???
когда я я училась медицине в университете, я решила научиться английскому языку, поэтому я изучала английский язык в институте английского языка. Я ездила там каждая суббота.
Can you use учиться to say you're studying a career (medicine, engineering)??? or should you use изучать медицину??
Can we say that (научиться) is perfective of ( учиться) ? both reflexive so its like someone is teaching himself to do something ((( if the action is completed we choose perf. If not completed we choose imperf.))) ? While ( научить) is perfective of ( учить) ? both means to teach somebody how to do a skill ? If that's the case then I got the difference if not that means I need to re-watch the lesson 😁

Is there a difference between "Я учусь русскому языку" and "Я изучаю русский язык"?
If I understood correctly, the first one means learning a skill (russian language) and the second means taking a russian course (in order to learn that skill).
I don't see a real difference in the meaning.
